Start with what you make.

PVC Pipe and Compounding

Tell us whether you make pipe, profile or another PVC product, your process and current filler. We can review powder options and agree what to compare in a production trial.

PVC pipes and processing

Requirements and tradeoffs

Define the product before changing the filler.

  • Identify the PVC product, resin, process and whether the duty is pressure or non-pressure.
  • Share current filler loading, measured particle-size distribution, test method and surface treatment.
  • Agree processing, mechanical and appearance checks for the finished product.

Treat changes in filler grade or loading as trial variables. Compare material cost alongside processing and finished-product acceptance; savings are not assumed.

Material decisions

Different parts. Different requirements.

Pressure Pipe and Non-Pressure Pipe

What to compare
Identify the pipe duty and applicable product requirements before changing filler grade or loading. Compare finished-pipe acceptance, processing and material cost together.
Materials to discuss
Discuss source-specific GCC powder for the current PVC formulation. Pressure-pipe use requires a separate review; it cannot be inferred from a drainage-pipe example.
What to verify
Request measured particle-size data and methods, treatment and moisture information. Agree the permitted formulation and finished-pipe test plan before a trial.

Profiles and Other PVC Compounds

What to compare
Compare extrusion stability, dimensions, surface finish and mechanical requirements at the proposed filler loading. Use the current formulation as the trial reference.
Materials to discuss
Discuss GCC powder, the required PVC resin, or a specifically PVC-compatible masterbatch. Do not assume a PE/PP-carrier pellet is suitable for PVC.
What to verify
Review source-specific powder or pellet data, carrier details where relevant, and trial results against the current formulation. Evaluate total production cost after acceptance checks.

These are starting points for a material review, not approved grade recommendations. Confirm the exact grade, processing conditions and finished-part tests before use.
